Bearcats continue success in the classroom

VESTAL, N.Y. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has released its list of All-Academic Teams for the 2025 and the Bearcat men's and women's squads have once again made the grade.

In order to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, a program must attain a 3.0 GPA during its season of competition. Binghamton's men's team - which was the runner up at the America East Championships back in October - compiled a 3.50 GPA during the Fall 2025 semester. The Bearcat women's squad, meanwhile, earned a 3.53 GPA and were third at the conference meet.

This marks the 16th consecutive year Binghamton's men's squad has earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors. The Bearcat women, meanwhile, have now been honored 21 straight seasons.

Individual cross country academic honors have also come Binghamton's way this year. Both senior Sydney Leitner and sophomore Nick Thomas earned All-Academic honors from the America East. In addition, they were each named the SUNY Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete in their respective sports.
