VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team announced Saturday the signing of Tien Do, who will join the Bearcats in the fall of 2026.
"We are really looking forward to Tien joining our golf team," said Binghamton Head Golf Coach
Bernie Herceg. "He has great playing experience with a solid overall game which we see him making an impact for us throughout his career at Binghamton."
Do, who hails from Tampa, Fla., developed an accomplished resume during his career at Wesley Chapel High School. He was named the Sunshine Athletic Conference's Golfer of the Year in 2025, while also receiving First Team all-conference honors in 2024 and 2025. Additionally, Do has received all-region honors in Florida. Back in October, Do won the FHSAA 2A District High School Golf Championship. In his last tournament for 2025, Do finished second out of 99 golfers at the Orlando International Junior Amateur.
Do is the third golfer to sign with the Bearcats for the fall of 2026.
Last November, Binghamton announced the signings of Jake Doherty and Patrick Smith.
The Bearcats are preparing to return to the course for the second half of their 2025-26 season. On Friday, it was announced that Binghamton was picked to finish fourth in the NEC Men's Golf Preseason Poll. This comes after the Bearcats took second at both its home tournament, the Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational on Oct. 6, as well as Delaware's Blue Hen Intercollegiate on Sept. 16. Additionally, Binghamton finished third at Holy Cross' Crusader Invitational to close out its fall schedule on Oct. 21.
Binghamton begins its spring season by competing in Sacred Heart's Spring Break Invitational from March 9-10 at Eagle Harbor Golf Club in Fleming Island, Fla.
Matthews Auto is the presenting sponsor of Bearcats Golf.
