VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton volleyball program is bringing in a transfer from one of the top junior college programs in the country, as the Bearcats announced Monday the addition of Magi Milicevic to the team's roster.
Milicevic, an outside hitter from Plovdiv, Bulgaria, completed her first two collegiate seasons at Florida SouthWestern State College from 2024-25. In each season, she was an All-Citrus Conference selection. Playing in 50 matches throughout her two seasons, Milicevic recorded 290 kills and 282 digs, posting at least 10 kills in nine contests. Ultimately, Milicevic helped FSW win the 2024 national championship and finish as the national runner-up in 2025, as the Purple and Aqua won 53 out of its 58 matches between those two seasons.
The addition of Milicevic strengthens Binghamton's already-strong connection to Bulgaria that has been developed under Head Coach
Allie Yaeger. Milicevic joins right side hitter and fellow Bulgarian
Viktoria Dimitrova, who earned America East First Team All-Conference honors in 2025 after previously being named to the league's All-Rookie Team in 2024. Both players look to build off the foundation that Tsvetelina Ilieva helped put in place at Binghamton. Ilieva was chosen as an AVCA All-America honorable mention in each of her three seasons in the Southern Tier from 2022-24, becoming the first Binghamton volleyball player ever to receive that honor.
Binghamton appeared in the America East Volleyball Championship for the fourth season in a row in 2025. It is the first time that the Bearcats reached their conference tournament in four consecutive seasons since 2014-17. Along with Dimitrova,
Merima Smajlovic also received First Team All-Conference honors from the America East that year. Since Binghamton had three players earn First Team All-Conference honors in 2024 (Ilieva, Misa Dlouha, and Lottie Scully), it was the first time the Bearcats had multiple players make the First Team in back-to-back seasons since 2005 (2) and 2006 (3).
The Bearcats' schedule for the 2026 season will be announced at a later date.
