Setter enjoyed success playing in national competitions in Norway

VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton Head Volleyball Coach Allie Yaeger announced Thursday the addition of Runa Redse-Arset to the roster.

Redse-Arset, a setter from Ulsteinvik, Norway, has experienced success while playing in national competitions in Norway. In her club career, she played for KFUM Volda in two separate stints from 2020-22 and 2023-25, as well as for BK BK Tromsø from 2022-23.

In 2022, she won gold at U17 nationals as a team captain after previously winning the silver medal in 2020. Then in 2023, she was named best setter at U17 nationals. Her transition to U19 nationals led to more success, as she won three straight gold medals from 2023-25. Redse-Arset also served as a team captain during her team's run to the gold in 2024. Additionally, she competed in the 2023 European Cup.

While playing for the Norwegian junior national team, Redse-Arset won the bronze medal at the North European Volleyball Zonal Association (NEVZA) Championships in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, she took part in the senior national team's camp.

Redse-Arset joins a Binghamton team that appeared in the America East Volleyball Championship for the fourth season in a row in 2025. It was the first time that the Bearcats reached their conference tournament in four consecutive seasons since 2014-17. Viktoria Dimitrova, one of Binghamton's returners for 2026, received First Team All-Conference honors from the America East that year.

The Bearcats' schedule for the 2026 season will be announced at a later date.
