Bearcats have won seven in a row, face Big Red at 3:30 p.m. in Ithaca

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton baseball (17-13) plays the first of three scheduled games against Cornell (6-20) when the teams meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Booth Field. The Bearcats have won 11 of 13 and are riding a seven game win streak - longest since 2017.

Binghamton is hitting .266 and has a 5.99 pitching ERA.

Sophomore second baseman Sean Sweeney continues to lead the America East in both average (.491) and OPS (1.147). Sophomore center fielder Matt Bolton is fifth with a .345 average. Sophomore right fielder Braylen Gonzalez ranks third with a .478 on-base percentage.

Sophomore lefty Vincent Luther (1-0, 7.59 ERA) gets the start but the Bearcats are expected to use multiple pitchers in the non-conference game.

Cornell sits in a tie for sixth in the Ivy League standings with a 4-8 mark. The Big Red are coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of Penn last weekend. Cornell is hitting .255 and has a 7.42 ERA. Slated to start Tuesday is junior right-hander Ethan Van Sice (1-2, 9.87 ERA).

The Big Red lead the all-time series, which dates back to 1984, 26-21-1. The Bearcats won both games last season, both at home by the identical 8-5 score.
