Robertson break own high jump record, Luciano and Traymore medal in hammer

VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton continued its outdoor track & field season at Penn Relays, which took place at Franklin Field Thursday-Saturday. There was no team scoring at the meet.

In the championship section of the men's hammer on Thursday, redshirt junior Brian Luciano was fourth (215-1) followed by redshirt freshman Gannon Traymore in fifth place (212-3). Unofficially, Luciano's throw is No. 16 in the NCAA East Region rankings while Traymore is No. 21.

Breaking her own school record in the high jump was senior Lucciana Robertson. Her jump of 5-8 ¾ - which was good for third place in the college division - topped her previous school record of 5-8 ½ at the Cornell Big Red Invitational earlier this month.

The women's 4x100 relay team of senior Alepha Ferrer, junior Ashlyn Rattray, freshman Saida Assabahi and junior Kaylen Tenemille was sixth in the college division (48.05). Meanwhile, the men's 4x100 relay team of seniors Nate David and Samson Joseph, freshman Micah Davis and sophomore Marcus Nahim finished fourth (41.48).

Up next for Binghamton is the St. John's/Tom Farrell Classic next Saturday.
