Oluwole Named to AE Outdoor Track All-Academic Team

Recent graduate adds to long list of academic honors

VESTAL, N.Y. – Recent graduate Matthew Oluwole has been named to the America East Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team. It marks the second straight track & field season that he has earned the distinction, having also been chosen during the 2025-26 indoor campaign.

To be eligible for the America East All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have reached sophomore athletic eligibility, attain a 3.30 minimum grade-point average and be a contributor on their team. The squad is voted on by a committee of America East student-athlete support and athletic communications administrators as well as faculty athletic representatives.

Olowole won his second career outdoor high jump title at the America East Outdoor Championships last month. He also won the event in 2024. For his career, Oluwole won three conference high jump crowns, having also placed first at the 2026 America East Indoor Championships. 

In addition to his America East Academic honors, Oluwole was also named the SUNY Chancellor's Men's Indoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year back in March. 

There were 10 total honorees on the 2026 America East Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team.
