Men’s XC ranked No. 15 in USTFCCCA Northeast Poll

Bearcats return four all-conference selections from last year

VESTAL, N.Y. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has released its Northeast Region Poll, which has the men's cross country team ranked at No. 15. 

The USTFCCCA Northeast Region Poll is released bi-weekly and includes its top 15 ranked teams. This marks the 10th year since 2008 that the Bearcat men's squad has cracked the rankings at least once during the season. 

Binghamton returns four all-conference selections from last season. Junior Bobby Mayclim was fourth at the America East meet, followed by fellow junior Nick Thomas (fifth), senior Liam Cody (seventh) and sophomore George Thomatos (12th). In addition, sophomore Anthony Zazzaro was 19th followed by fellow sophomore Noah Hilker in 23rd place. 

At the ensuing NCAA Northeast Region Meet last Nov. 14, Binghamton placed 13th out of 38 teams - its highest team finish since recording an 11th-place performance in 2015. Mayclim was 38th out of 263 runners last season, followed by Cody in 75th place, Thomas in 97th place and Zazzaro in 107th place.

Also returning this year for Binghamton are graduate student Austin Wefer, who was 24th in the 2024 America East Championships, as well as junior Oliver Jibb, who was 28th in the same race. 

Binghamton begins its 2026 campaign on Saturday at the Colgate/Harry Lang Invitational.
