CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Exactly one month after opening the season in similar fashion, Binghamton faces another ACC team on the road in an ESPN3 broadcast when the Bearcats (1-10) meet Boston College (5-3) Sunday afternoon. The teams will tip at 1 p.m. at Conte Forum in a first-ever meeting.

The Eagles are the second ACC team on BU's schedule this season. Notre Dame was the other. The ESPN3 appearance will be Binghamton's fifth national showing, with at least two more games still to come.

In their most recent game, the Bearcats fell behind by 10 points at the break and host Colgate then shot 61 percent in the second half to post a 65-44 win Thursday night.

The Bearcats cut their deficit to single digits midway through the second half but an ensuing 15-0 Colgate run locked in the win. The Raiders hit five of their first eight three-point shots in the second period and won for the 10th time in 12 all-time meetings against Binghamton.

Freshman forward Dusan Perovic, the reigning America East Rookie of the Week, scored a team-high 16 points to pace the Bearcats, who were limited to 35 percent shooting. Sophomore forward Nick Madray added nine points and seven rebounds.

Binghamton is the youngest team in the entire nation, according to data from StatSheet.com. The website tracks the least experienced and most experienced teams, based on minutes played multiplied by year in school (Freshman=1, Sophomores=2, etc.). A number approaching 4 indicates a team playing mostly seniors and juniors and a number closer to 1 indicates a team of mostly freshmen and sophomores. Binghamton scored a 1.51, the lowest figure of any Division I team in the country. The Bearcats' 14-man roster consists of seven freshmen, five sophomore, a junior and a senior. The 14 players have a combined 10 years of collegiate experience.

Boston College (5-3) is coming off an 85-74 win over fellow America East member Maine on Thursday. In that game, BC had five players score in double figures, led by graduate student Aaron Brown with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting. Junior Dennis Clifford recorded a career-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals. He was 9-for-11 from the free throw line. Boston College opened the game with a 17-8 run over the first 5:35 and never gave up that lead. The hosts enjoyed a 30-8 advantage in points off turnovers.

The Eagles return 11 letterwinners from an 8-24 team of a year ago. They boast two statistical notes: BC is the sixth-tallest team in the country (height measured by Ken Pomeroy, weighted by minutes played) and also ranks seventh in experience, as calculated by StatSheet.com. All 40 starting positions this year have come from juniors, seniors and graduate students and upperclassmen have accounted for 87 percent of the team's scoring.

Boston College opened its season with a surprisingly-tight 58-50 win over America East member New Hampshire. The team's signature win was a 69-60 home win last Friday over a Providence team that was "receiving votes" in last week's USA Today Coaches Poll. Junior leading scorer Olivier Hanlan entered the week ranked second in the ACC in scoring (17.3 ppg.) and is on the watch list for four awards, including The Naismith Trophy and the John R. Wooden Award. He was a third team All-ACC selection last year. Fourth-year guard Aaron Brown ranks in the ACC top-15 in scoring (14.3 ppg.). The team's big man is seven-foot junior center Dennis Clifford.
