SCOUTING BINGHAMTON Binghamton (5-4-1) played to a scoreless tie at St. Bonaventure on Wednesday night in its final non-conference match of the year. The Bearcats head into conference play with four shutouts so far this season.

SCOUTING VERMONT Vermont (5-3-1) defeated Bryant last Saturday for its fourth consecutive victory. Stefan Lamanna scored the game winner in the 70
th minute. In the process, the Catamounts raised their home record this season to 3-0-1
Brian Wright leads Vermont with five goals and 12 total points so far this season. He is tied for second in the America East in goals and is third in total points. Lamanna, meanwhile, has a pair of goals to go along with a team-best three assists.
THE SERIES AGAINST VERMONT Vermont has won the past three meetings and holds a 7-5-3 lead in the all-time series between the two teams.
In both 2012 and 2014, the Catamounts won 1-0 on a penalty kick in overtime. Both games were played at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Homecoming Weekend. In the most recent meeting in Burlington, Vermont won 2-0 on Oct. 5, 2013. Wright scored the second of the two goals.
Binghamton's last win in the series was a 1-0 victory on Oct. 10, 2010 at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Its last win in Burlington was a 2-1 triumph on Oct. 24, 2009.
WORTH NOTING Binghamton showed significant improvement in non-conference play this season. In 2014, the Bearcats were 2-8-0 thru 10 games and had been shut out seven times. This season, they have only been blanked three times.
