VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer returns to action on Sunday when the Bearcats (1-10-1, 0-3 AE) travel to Lowell, Mass. to face the River Hawks (3-10, 0-3 AE) in an America East contest. Game time is 4 p.m. at the turf Cushing Field Complex.
Binghamton will look to continue its success against the newest member of the conference. The Bearcats are 4-0 all-time against Lowell, having twice beaten the River Hawks when both programs were members of the Division II New England Collegiate Conference and twice more in the America East. Binghamton has won the last two meetings each by 4-0 scores.
The Bearcats have suffered four one-goal defeats in their last five games. Six of the team's 10 losses have come by the slimmest of margins, including a 1-0 setback to Hartford in the team's last outing on Sunday. After the trip to Lowell, BU will play three of its final four games at home when the team will be pushing to reach the postseason for the 10th time in the last 12 years.

Lowell is playing its third season as a Division I member. The River Hawks began conference play with a 2-0 loss to UMBC and then pushed host Maine to overtime in a 1-0 loss last Sunday. In the team's last outing on Thursday, New Hampshire scored two second-half goals to snap a 2-2 tie and post a 4-2 win over Lowell.
Freshman forward Katelyn Vieira leads the team with six goals. Second-year midfielder Rachel Morrier has three goals. Freshman keeper Julia Schneider has a 2.38 goals against average.
