OLEAN, N.Y.—The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (5-7, 1-3 America East) returns to action today at 4 p.m. against St. Bonaventure (1-10, 0-3 Atlantic 10). The game is a non-conference slate, and will take place at St. Bonatenure's Marra Complex.
QUICK HITSSophia Racciatti leads the Bearcats with 27 points. Her 17 goals are second on the team, while her 10 assists lead BU.
Binghamton is 4-4 against non-conference opponents this year. Their last non-conference game was a 9-7 win at Niagara.
Callon Williams scored three goals in that win against Niagara. She also scored four goals in the team's most recent game. The sophomore has four multi-goal games this season.
Valerie DeNapoli had a career-high nine draw controls in BU's last game. For 2015 the sophomore has a team-leading 37, the most since Katherine Hunsberger's single-season record 76 in 2013.
LAST TIME OUTCallon Williams' four goals were not enough to stop Vermont, as the Bearcats fell to their America East foe 18-7 at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Saturday, April 4.
Tiffany Ryan had two goals for BU, and
Sophia Racciatti dished out two assists.
SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTUREThe Bonnies have six players with double-digit goals, led by Mikayla Place's 18. The team has won only once in 11 games thus far, with their lone win coming against St. Francis (Pa.) on March 19. Bonaventure and Binghamton have shared two opponents so far: Siena and Niagara. The Bonnies lost both of those games, while the Bearcats went 1-1, defeating Niagara.
