Bearcats need a win vs. the Catamounts to clinch a playoff spot

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (6-9-2, 2-5-0 AE) currently sits in seventh place in the America East with six points. The Bearcats would clinch a berth in the upcoming America East Tournament with a victory over Vermont. Binghamton can finish as high as No. 5 in the conference standings.

- The Bearcats are coming off a 3-1 loss at UMBC on Thursday. Senior forward Leighann Bennett scored her third goal of the season in the game against the Retrievers.

- Like the Bearcats, Vermont (6-7-3, 1-4-2 AE) is also trying to nail down a berth in the America East tournament. The Catamounts most recently dropped a 1-0 decision to visiting Hartford on Thursday night.

- Under first-year head coach Neel Bhattacharjee, Binghamton has already doubled its win total from last season.
