Women's Basketball Travels to Ohio

Bearcats and Bobcat Meet for First Time on Monday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-6) defeated Misericordia 77-54 on Saturday afternoon. Junior guard Imani Watkins turned in a 19-point, six-block, five-assist performance. Junior center Alyssa James finished with 12 points, six rebounds and redshirt sophomore Jasmine Sina added 11 points.  
 
- Junior guard Imani Watkins leads the America East with 21.9 points per game. She is also first in the conference with 2.7 steals per game and tied for first with 1.6 blocks per contest. Redshirt guard Jasmine Sina is second on the team and eighth in the conference with 12.1 points per game.
 
- Watkins and Sina rank first and second in the America East with 3.1 and 2.9 three-point field goals per game respectively. Sophomore forward Rebecca Carmody, meanwhile, is tied for ninth with 6.1 rebounds per game.
 
- Ohio (7-1) suffered its first lost of the year when it lost 69-46 at Michigan on Dec. 13. Quiera Lampkins, who leads the Bobcats with 18.7 points per game, had a team-high 15 points against the Wolverines. Last season, Ohio advanced to the third round of the WNIT. In 2015, the Bobcats won the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
 
- This marks the first-ever meeting between Binghamton and Ohio in women's basketball. The last time the Bearcats faced a team from the Mid-American Conference was at the season-opening Akron Tournament on Nov. 14, 2014. The Bearcats faced the host Zips in the first game under current head coach Linda Cimino.
 
- As a team, Binghamton ranks second in the America East with 65.5 points per game. In the past seven games, the Bearcats have averaged 71.6 points per contest. The Bearcats also rank second in the conference in steals (9.9 spg.) and are third in blocked shots (4.0 bpg.).
 
- Junior guard Imani Watkins ranks No. 12 in program history with 1,119 career points. In 11th place is Erica Carter (2006-10) with 1,150 points. Watkins, who reached the 1,000-point mark against Sacred Heart on Nov. 23, has seven games this season with at least 20 points including a program-record six straight from Nov. 16-Dec. 6.
