STORY LINES

- Binghamton (5-7) closed out 2016 with a 74-53 win over Georgian Court on Friday at the Events Center. Junior center Alyssa James finished with a team-best 16 points while junior guard Imani Watkins added 15 points and five steals. Freshman guard Kai Moon, meanwhile, nearly had a triple-double with nine points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

- Junior guard Imani Watkins leads the America East and ranks No. 19 in the nation with 20.5 points per game. She is also first in the conference and No. 26 in the nation with 3.0 steals per game. Redshirt guard Jasmine Sina is second on the team and ninth in the conference with 12.2 points per game. Sina and Watkins rank first and second in the America East with 3.2 and 2.9 three-point field goals per game respectively. Sophomore forward Rebecca Carmody, meanwhile, is tied for sixth in the conference with 6.0 rebounds per game and is fourth with 2.0 steals per contest. 

- Cornell (7-4) ended 2016 with a 66-65 double-overtime loss at Stony Brook, also on Friday. Nia Marshall, who leads the Big Red with 14.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, poured in 25 points against the Seawolves. 

- Binghamton leads the series against Cornell 8-7. The Big Red, however, has taken the past three meetings. Most recently, it won 64-57 at home on Dec. 30, 2015. The Bearcats' last win in the series was a 61-48 triumph at Cornell on Nov. 30, 2011.

- The Bearcats lead the America East and are No. 17 in the nation with 8.7 three-point field goals per game. They made a season-high 12 three-point field goals at Ohio on Dec. 19.

- As a team, Binghamton ranks second in the America East with 65.3 points per game, which is on track to be its best average since the 2005-06 season (66.9 ppg.). The Bearcats also rank second in the conference in blocks (4.3 bpg.) and third in steals (9.7 spg.).  

- Junior guard Imani Watkins ranks No. 12 in program history with 1,149 points. In 11th place is Erica Carter (2006-10) with 1,150 points. Watkins, who reached the 1,000-point mark against Sacred Heart on Nov. 23, has seven games this season with at least 20 points including a program-record six straight from Nov. 16-Dec. 6.
