Pena notches lone singles win at No. 5 spot

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Unbeaten Brown (6-0) dealt Binghamton men's tennis (2-5) a 6-1 loss Saturday afternoon at Pizzitola Sports Center.

Freshman Alejandro Pena posted BU's lone win - a 6-3, 1-6, 10-8 victory at fifth singles.

"We fought hard point to point but Brown was just so on-point shot to shot that we didn't get room to get leads," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "Alex (Pena) played a very strong match. It's taken him a while to get his feet under him in college but he's worked hard this semester and it was good to see him get a strong win today."

The Bearcats are off until playing two matches at Navy next Saturday, against the Midshipmen and George Mason.
