Bouchet provides lone point with win at No. 6 singles

CUMBERLAND, R.I. - Host Bryant (4-8) took the doubles point and then won five of six singles matches to pin a 6-1 loss on Binghamton men's tennis (2-4) Friday afternoon at Fore Court.

Junior No. 6 Valentin Bouchet provided BU's lone win with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Guido Argentini.

"We had a disappointing start on two courts of doubles," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "We need to stick with our process goals more to start the right way. Credit to Bryant for staying with every match in singles. We put ourselves in good positions on 2,3,4 and 6 but we were only able to finish on Val's (Bouchet) court."

Binghamton stays in the Providence area to face Ivy League member Brown at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
