PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Host Penn (10-9) swept the doubles matches and took five of the six singles contests to pin a 6-1 loss on Binghamton men's tennis (3-13) Sunday afternoon at the Hecht Tennis Center.Â
Freshman No. 6
Alejandro Pena provided BU's with its lone point with a 7-6 (5), 6-1 victory.Â
"I was really pleased with Alex's performance today," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. "He's been putting in the work and it was great to see him get a result. We had a moment late in the match when we were playing with conviction and we had momentum on four courts. But we still have a lot of work to do to build that belief in ourselves that we can go after our shots the whole way through."Â
The Bearcats are off until hosting Northern Illinois on April 8.Â
