CLEVELAND, Ohio - Binghamton men's tennis (4-4) dropped a road match at Cleveland State (4-4), 6-1, Saturday at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion. Cleveland State swept the doubles matches to earn a point before grabbing five of six singles points.
Senior No.1 Ludovico Cestarollo provided the Bearcats with a strong three-set win in singles, defeating Cleveland State's top player, Nico Mostardi.
"Tomorrow we get the chance to learn from today's mistakes," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "We were not sharp in the doubles start to finish, and we didn't get out of the rut early in the singles. Cestarollo had a great win at No. 1. His opponent Mostardi started the season nationally ranked, so that is a big confidence boost for his game."
The Bearcats will stay in Cleveland to face Youngstown State on Sunday afternoon at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion.
