VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis coach Nick Zieziula has announced the signing of two scholastic recruits for the fall. The Bearcats will welcome Michael Pawlowicz (Burlington, Ontario, Canada/Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School) and Dan Pergel (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada/John McCrae Secondary School) to the program.

"We are thrilled to announce that Dan and Michael will be joining us for the Fall 2019 semester," Zieziula said. "Both of these young men are the complete package, in terms of their academics, tennis and work ethic. While they have both had success on the Canadian circuit, their best tennis still lies ahead."

Pawlowicz was ranked as high as No. 8 in national juniors and is currently ranked 16th. He is No. 78 in the current men's national rankings. In October, Pawlowicz won three matches to reach the semifinals of the 2018 ITF Junior Championships.

Pergel is ranked No. 11 in Ontario juniors and is 21st in national juniors. He was the recipient of the Ottawa Sports Awards individual tennis award in 2018 and placed fifth at the U18 Outdoor Provincial Championship in 2018. He is currently No. 71 in the current men's national rankings.

Binghamton graduates four seniors in 2018-19.
