SYRACUSE, N.Y.
— Binghamton men's tennis (8-7) won the doubles point and then captured four of six singles matches to defeat Colgate (3-8) 5-2 Saturday afternoon at Drumlins Country Club.
"We had a great start in doubles," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. "We were very aggressive and got 4-1 leads on all three courts but we took our foot off the gas a bit and made things interesting. It was great for Josh (Druger) to get the clinching win with Inigo (Saez) playing in his 'back yard.' It was good to get the 'W' going into conference play but we've got to clean up a few things this week at practice before we face Buffalo."
The Bearcats open MAC play at Buffalo on March 15.
