VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton women's swimming & diving team closed out the home portion of its regular-season schedule with a 193-107 defeat against New Hampshire on Sunday morning at the Saunders Aquatic Center.
The Bearcats swept both diving events with sophomore
Amanda McGraw capturing the one-meter event (262.80) and junior
Sophia Howard taking top honors in the three-meter event. McGraw's score, which was her season-best, came close to meet the NCAA Zone Meet standard (265.00).
The Bearcats' other individual winner was senior
Olivia Santos, who was first in the 50 free (25.61). In the process, Santos recorded her third straight dual meet victory in that event. Two of her wins have come against America East opponents.
"We swam well today but obviously New Hampshire is a very talented team," head coach
Jerry Cummiskey said. "We have been training hard since our Winter Trip and we have one more dual meet to go before we start tapering down for the conference meet in three weeks."
Both the Bearcat men's and women's teams head to St. Bonaventure on Monday for an 11 a.m. dual meet.
