Following a successful fall training schedule, Binghamton men's lacrosse head coach Kevin McKeown has named two captains for the 2022 Spring season, senior Drew Furlong and redshirt-junior Teddy Dolan.
"Our team members and coaching staff were in lockstep when it came to selecting captains for our 2022 season," McKeown said. "Drew and Teddy have been outstanding leaders in their time here at Binghamton and have both evolved into the leaders for this year's team. I'm excited to see them continue to push our program forward."
Furlong, a senior defender from Warren, N.J., missed last season with a lower body injury. Despite his injury last season he brings a vocal presence and phenomenal leadership to the Bearcats defense. Furlong was inducted into the 2021 National College Athletic Honor Society and is a member of the BU Men's Lacrosse Leadership Council.
Dolan, a redshirt-junior goalie from Garden City, N.Y., posted a .582 save percentage last spring, which ranked first in the America East and sixth in the nation. He was selected as the America East Defensive Player of the Year. Dolan was named to the America East All-Academic team posting a 3.45 GPA in the classroom.
The Bearcats season will begin on February 12 at home against Marist.
