Men's Tennis Hits the Road for MAC Play This Weekend

Bearcats travel to Western Michigan Saturday, Northern Illinois Sunday

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton men's tennis team hits the road this weekend, traveling to take on Western Michigan University (13-1-2-0) and Northern Illinois University (13-1, 2-0). The Bearcats face the Broncos on Saturday at noon before heading to face the Huskies on Sunday at noon CT and 1 p.m. EST.

The Bearcats are coming off a loss against University of Buffalo in their opening match of the 2021 season. 

Scouting the Broncos
The Broncos are 13-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Western Michigan has won six matches in a row heading into this weekend.They defeated Ball St. 5-2 and University of Toledo 6-1 this past weekend. The Broncos received votes in the ITA Top 50 poll released this week.

Scouting the Huskies
The Huskies are also 13-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Northern Illinois swept the MAC weekly awards this week after defeating Toledo 6-1 and Ball St. 4-3.

The Bearcats saw a standout performance from freshman No. 3 Shourya Verma in his collegiate debut, winning both his doubles and single match against Buffalo.
