Men's tennis drops MAC opener at Buffalo

Host Bulls prevail 6-1; Verma earns win at No. 1 singles

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Host Buffalo defeated Binghamton men's tennis 6-1 in the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams Saturday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center.

Playing without their top two players, out with injuries, the Bearcats earned their lone win at No. 1 singles. Sophomore Shourya Verma rallied for a three-set triumph. Verma beat Simon Wibler, 1-6, 6-4, 10-6. 

Binghamton plays at Cornell Sunday night at the Reis Tennis Center.
