Men's tennis drops MAC match to Buffalo 5-2

Verma, Courage post singles wins at first and fifth singles, respectively

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Visiting Buffalo squeezed out the doubles point and then won four of six singles matches to defeat Binghamton men's tennis 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Binghamton Tennis Center. 

Sophomore Shourya Verma posted a straight-set win at No. 1 singles and senior Courage Crawford went to a third-set tiebreak to earn a 7-6, 4-6, 10-5 win for the Bearcats, who played several other tight matches and were within striking range against their longtime SUNY rivals.

Binghamton next plays at Cornell Sunday afternoon.
