Box Score ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Sophomore Ronin Lotlikar went unbeaten in singles to highlight Binghamton men's tennis at the Navy Gold Invitational, held over the weekend at Navy's USNA Tennis Courts. The Bearcats had a four-man contingent in the flighted round-robin format. Also competing were players from Navy, Coppin State, Drexel, Hampton, Harford CC, Morgan State, Princeton, Richmond and Temple. 

Lotlikar went 3-0 with wins over opponents from Princeton, Temple and Navy. Lotlikar dropped the first set in each of his first two matches before storming back. His signature win was a 4-6, 7-6 (5), 10-4 triumph over Princeton standout Evan Wen, who had defeated Lotlikar at the ITA Regional last weekend at Penn. Against Wen, Lotlikar shook off three straight match points before steamrolling in the final set.

Overall, the Bearcats went 6-6 in singles and 1-5 in doubles matches.

"Ronin starts matches by lulling his opponents to sleep," assistant coach Charlie Ellis said. "After several games players don't think he is any good. With tremendous inner strength and fire, he begins winning the big points, leaving opponents wondering why they aren't winning. Ronin begins pouring it on using a variety of shots and quietly begins to pull ahead."   

With the three wins, Lotlikar raised his team-best record to 8-1 this fall.
