Dan Pergel and sophomore
Zubin Omar won their singles matches but it wasn't enough as visiting Northern Illinois (4-2 MAC) toppled Binghamton men's tennis (0-6) 5-2 Friday afternoon at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center.
Pergel posted his third straight win at No. 5 singles and Omar earned his second dual win of the spring.
The Bearcats won first sets at second and third singles but NIU rallied for wins at both spots to seal their victory.
Binghamton continues its homestand by hosting Western Michigan at 11 a.m. Sunday at the LSTC.Â
