BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Even with four freshmen in the starting lineup, Binghamton men's tennis looked strong from start to finish and posted a 7-0 shutout of visiting Colgate Saturday night at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center. It was the team's second straight win and third in the last four to lead into conference play.
"We were very solid tonight," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. "Colgate is always feisty and they were ready to battle. We wanted to finish non-conference play with solid intensity for the whole match and keep our composure and body language and I thought the boys did great with that. We are fired up to go to the Midwest next week and open up conference play with a statement."
Binghamton heads to Kalamazoo for its Mid-American Conference opener next Friday at Western Michigan.
