TOLEDO, Ohio - Visiting Binghamton men's tennis split the six singles matches but Toledo captured the decisive doubles point in a 4-3 MAC victory Sunday afternoon at Shadow Valley Tennis Club. It was BU's final match of the 2022-23 season.
Winning for the Bearcats were freshman No. 3
William Morais Binnie, senior No. 4
Dan Pergel and freshman No. 6
Andrew Fang. It was Pergel's fifth MAC singles win and came in his final collegiate match.Â
"The guys battled hard to the bitter end," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. The senior class has represented the program well, going out with a 3.9 GPA as a class and they battled through a lot of adversity in their careers. Our freshmen especially grew a lot this year and we have a lot to look forward to from that class."
Also playing their final collegiate matches were senior No. 1
Michael Pawlowicz and senior
Adi Ben-Ari, who played at No. 3 doubles. Â
