BUFFALO, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis split six singles matches against MAC opponent Buffalo but the host Bulls captured the opening doubles point and prevailed 4-3 Saturday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center.Â
Winning for the Bearcats were freshman
Ronin Lotlikar, sophomore
Kyle Weekes and senior
Dan Pergel at 3-4-5 in the lineup. Pergel shook off an opening-set tiebreak loss and reversed an earlier loss to his Bulls opponent. Lotlikar and Weekes each won in straight sets.
"A slow start in doubles cost us big today," head coach
Nick Zieziula said. "Ultimately, we battled hard and did well to take three singles matches. We've got one week left to build on this and finish out strong."
The Bearcats finish up their spring season with road matches at Ball State (Friday) and Toledo (Sunday).Â
