VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer (0-1-1) travels to South Orange, N.J. for a Thursday afternoon test against BIG EAST member Seton Hall (1-1). The teams square off at 4 p.m. at Owen T. Carroll Field and the game will be broadcast on FloSports.Â
The Bearcats are coming off a scoreless draw with Canisius on Sunday. In that game, BU enjoyed a substantial shots and possession advantage but couldn't knock home a winner. Binghamton opened its season with a 2-0 loss at Fairfield last Thursday. The game at Seton Hall is the third of eight contests before America East play begins.Â
Junior keeper
Kaitlyn Williams has a 1.00 goals against average and a save percentage of .800.Â
Seton Hall has split its opening two games. The Pirates began their season with a 4-1 loss to Lafayette and followed with a 2-1 win over Central Connecticut State on Sunday. The program is coming off its most successful season in a decade, despite competing in the rugged BIG EAST. Seton Hall went 4-2-2 in non-conference play last fall (5-10-3 overall). The 2023 team features a blend of eight international players and six from New Jersey.Â
The teams have met just once before - a 1-0 Seton Hall home win back in 2010. Binghamton is looking for its second-ever victory over a BIG EAST member school, having defeated Syracuse 1-0 in 2005.
