Bearcats and Dolphins kick off at 6:07 at Sports Complex

VESTAL, N.Y. - Despite being separated by less than 90 miles, Binghamton women's soccer and Le Moyne meet for the first time in 24 years when the Bearcats (0-3-1) host the Dolphins (1-2) Thursday night. The teams kick off at 6:07 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex, with the game being broadcast on ESPN+.

The Bearcats finished up a tough two-game stretch against Power 5 foes with a 2-1 loss to Syracuse on Sunday. In that game, freshman forward Paige Luke tallied her first collegiate goal, converting a pass from Olivia McKnight. Keeper Kaitlyn Williams made six saves to keep the game close.

Binghamton has played three of its first four on the road and now has two of its next three at home, with a home tilt against Big Ten foe Maryland looming on Sept. 10. There are four non-conference games remaining before BU begins defense of its America East regular season title.

The Dolphins are a first-year NCAA Division I member, having made the transition and now a member of Northeast Conference. The team returns 19 players from a 5-8-3 squad of 2022. Le Moyne opened its historic first season against fellow America East member Maine and lost 5-0 two weeks ago up in Orono. Since then, the team lost 1-0 at Iona before beating Niagara 3-2 in its last outing on Sunday. First team all-conference midfielder Jenica Brown leads the team with three points. Graduate keeper Allison Moreau brings a veteran presence to the defense.

The Bearcats lead the all-time series 3-0, having won in 1997 (7-0), 1998 (6-0) and 1999 (3-0) when both programs were Division II.
