Men's tennis blanked at Youngstown State 7-0

Bearcats return home to host Le Moyne next Saturday at Lane-Starke Tennis Center

Box Score YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Host Youngstown State (1-0) toppled Binghamton men's tennis (0-2) 7-0 Saturday morning at the YSU Indoor Tennis Courts. The loss completed a two-match run against top-tier teams in the Horizon League to kick off the spring season for the Bearcats.

The Bearcats and Penguins played three tight doubles matches to open the morning. Sophomores William Morais Binnie and James McPherson posted a win at No. 1 doubles before YSU clinched the opening point with a win at No. 3.

In singles, the Bearcats extended two matches to third-set super tiebreaks but came up short in both. 

Binghamton returns home to host Northeast Conference rival Le Moyne next Saturday at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center. First serve is set for 5 p.m.
