Box Score BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Binghamton men's tennis (3-4) used its top-of-the-lineup strength to push past visiting Marist (1-4) 4-3 Sunday night at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center.
The Bearcats captured the doubles point and won three of the first four completed singles matches to clinch the match early before the Red Foxes won the final two contests with the decision already in hand.
Sophomore
William Morais Binnie showed his form with a pair of lopsided wins at the top spot. After teaming with classmate
James McPherson for a comfortable win at No. 1 doubles, Binnie rolled over Marist No. 1 Alejandro Castaneda, 6-0, 6-2 in singles. Sophomore No. 2
Ronin Lotlikar raised his singles record to a team-best 16-5 with a straight-set win. Senior
Kyle Weekes finished off a perfect 4-0 weekend with a doubles win alongside Lotlikar and then Weekes rolled to a convincing win at No. 3 singles.
The Bearcats next battle NEC rival Le Moyne Friday night in Syracuse.
