Bearcats have won five of last seven, improve to 4-1 against NEC opponents

Box Score TRUMBULL, Conn. – Visiting Binghamton men's tennis (9-8) kept rolling in conference play by defeating host Sacred Heart (3-11) 5-2 Saturday night at Tennis Club of Trumbull. The win was BU's fifth in the last seven overall matches and also lifted the team's NEC mark to 4-1.

The Bearcats grabbed the doubles point and then rode singles wins at positions 3-6 to close it out.

"It definitely wasn't our best ball-striking day today but the attitudes and mentality were on-point up and down the lineup," head coach Nick Zieziula said. "We are looking forward to one more on the road tomorrow."

Junior Kyle Weekes and sophomore James McPherson were double-winners. Weekes was first off the court in singles after a resounding 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5.
