STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-0-0) won 1-0 at Mount St. Mary's on Thursday evening. Junior back Luke Yates headed home the game-winning goal off a corner kick by senior midfielder Billy Clark in the 83rd minute. In goal, graduate student Dylan McDermott made a pair of saves to record his third career solo shutout.

- Against Mount St. Mary's, Binghamton had three of its 11 newcomers in the starting lineup. They included backs Rio Onwemere and Chris Comber as well as forward Tom Cohen. All three of them are transfer players.

- Le Moyne (1-0-0) got its season off to a successful start with a 3-2 win over visiting Canisius - also on Thursday night. Brady McNulty broke a 2-2 deadlock with the game-winning goal in the 65th minute.

- Le Moyne is in just its second year as a NCAA Division I program. The Dolphins were 2-8-7 in 2023 and finished 2-3-3 as a first-year member of the Northeast Conference (NEC).

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Le Moyne 3-2-0 but the two teams haven't faced each other since the 1999 season. This year marks the first matchup in which both the Bearcats and Dolphins are both competing at the NCAA Division I level. Binghamton has been a Division program since 2001.

- Since 2015, Binghamton has gone 7-2-0 in home openers. Most recently, the Bearcats defeated St. Bonaventure 3-1 on Sept. 5, 2023.
