VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer kicks off its home slate when the Bearcats (1-1-1) host Monmouth (2-0-1) Thursday afternoon. The teams will meet for the first time at 4 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Admission is free courtesy of Miller Auto Team and the Bearcats will sign complimentary team posters. Binghamton will play three of its next four games at home.

The Bearcats are coming off a 1-1 draw at St. Bonaventure on Sunday. In that game, senior forward Hannah Mimas evened the score with a long run and great finish in the 66th minute – her second goal of the season. The Bearcats outshot St. Bona 6-1 in the second half and 10-4 for the game. Binghamton controlled possession and had a 7-0 cushion in corners. Mimas leads the Bearcats in points (5) and freshman midfielder Anna Buckwalter is next with two goals and four points.

The Hawks are unbeaten to start the season and are coming off a 1-1 road tie against No. 21 Virginia Tech on Sunday. Before that MU beat Temple (1-0) and UAlbany (6-0). In the road win at Albany, the Hawks owned a 29-0 shots disparity. Monmouth was picked to win the CAA in the Preseason Poll and has four preseason all-conference selections back from a 2023 team that went 11-6-2 and reached the CAA title game. The team's defense is anchored by CAA Preseason Player of the Year and USC Players to Watch recipient Lauren Bruno.
