AE 2025 Meet Preview

Cross Country Heads to AE Championships

Conference meet takes place Friday in Hopkinton, N.H.

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton cross country teams head to the America East Championships, which take place at the Hopkinton (N.H.) Fairgrounds on Friday at 11 a.m. The men's 8K race will begin at 11 a.m. followed by the women's 5K competition at noon.

Both the Bearcat men's and women's squads have earned top-three finishes in each of the past three America East meets. The women won the 2023 event, were the runner up in 2022 and placed third last year. On the men's side, Binghamton was the runner up in 2022 and third the past two seasons.

Finishers 1-7 in each race will earn first-team all-conference honors while finishers 8-14 will receive second-team recognition. 

Senior Sydney Leitner has earned first-team all-conference honors in each of the past three years. She placed fifth in both 2022 and 2024 as well as seventh last year. Senior Andrew Rosenblatt was 11th in last year's men's race while sophomore Anna Gansrow was 14th in the women's event. In addition, sophomore Bobby Mayclim was named the Men's Rookie of the Meet.
