Men pick up first NEC win over Red Flashes, 5-2

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Tennis split action against St. Francis Saturday afternoon inside the Lane-Starke Tennis Center. The men (2-2, 1-1) picked up a 5-2 win over the Red Flashes for their first NEC victory of the season while the women (0-3, 0-3) fell 7-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Filipe Costa and Andrew Fang registered Binghamton's first win of the afternoon at third doubles, 6-1. Tied at one match apiece, James McPherson and Kyle Weekes' 6-4 victory clinched the doubles decision for the Bearcats and gave them a 1-0 lead.

William Morais Binnie and McPherson recorded their first singles victories of the spring in the first and sixth slots, respectively, to bring Binghamton's advantage to 3-0. Costa secured the team victory next with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.

Ronin Lotlikar notched the final singles victory for the Bearcats 6-3, 6-7 (2), 10-8 in the second spot.
