Men’s Tennis Falls to BYU, 6-1

Lotlikar picks up impressive win at second singles

Box Score BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Men's Tennis (3-3, 1-1) fell to BYU (2-1, 0-0), 6-1, inside the Lane-Starke Tennis Center Tuesday night. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Despite the loss, Ronin Lotlikar picked up an impressive, 7-6 (1), 7-6 (5) victory at second singles over BYU's Wally Thayne who ranked within the top 125 players in the country last season. William Morais Binnie, Kyle Weekes and Jonathan Arbittier also produced strong results by pushing their BIG 12 opponents to third sets. 

"Great fight tonight from the guys, really happy for Ronin picking up a solid win over a guy that was in the top 125 nationally last year," said Head Coach Nick Zieziula. "His intensity and focus has found another level and it's paying off - lots of confidence to take from this match moving forward for the whole team."
