Bearcats finish sixth as a team; Brandon Conner and Harrison Blech both place in the top 20

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Binghamton golf team wrapped up its appearance at the NEC Men's Golf Championship by finishing the conference tournament in sixth place on Saturday at the Kingsmill Resort's River Course. The Bearcats ended the 54-hole event with a team score of 310-290-297 = 897/45-over par.

Brandon Conner shot 75/4-over par on Saturday to finish with the best score for Binghamton at 75-71-75 = 222/9-over par, good enough to tie for 15th. This marks the fourth time this season that the junior has finished within the top 20 of a tournament, going along with his medalist honors at the Lehigh Invitational in October and his finishes of tied for eighth and tied for 10th at the Testudo Cup and Roar-EE Invitational earlier in April.

Both Harrison Blech and Jackson Vesper shot 76/5-over par on Saturday. Blech finished the event tied for 18th at 78-71-76 = 225/12-over par, his second finish inside the top 20 this season, while Vesper finished tied for 25th at 77-74-76 = 227/14-over par. Blech previously tied for seventh at Binghamton's home event, the Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational, back in October.

In his last collegiate tournament, Ryan Millevoi finished his Binghamton career with his lowest round of the season. The senior shot 71/1-under par, making four birdies over his final 18 holes, including two in his last four. Millevoi ended the tournament tied for 28th at 87-73-70 = 230/17-over par.

Sean Shen finished the weekend with his best round of the tournament by posting a score of 76/5-over par on Saturday. The junior finished tied for 35th at 80-80-76 = 236/23-over par.

"We had a couple of bad breaks today that hurt us," said Binghamton Head Coach Bernie Herceg. "Solid tournament for Brandon and Harrison. Good performance. And for Ryan to finish his career under par is fantastic."

Howard won the team title at 285-286-289 = 860/8-over par. Fairleigh Dickinson's Pyae Phyo Thu took medalist honors at 69-68-69 = 206/7-under par.
