Lotlikar and Liao named to NEC weekly honors list

The pair wins the first weekly awards from the conference this season

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Men's tennis' Ronin Lotlikar and Harry Liao were named to the Northeast Conference's first weekly award winner list, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

Lotlikar was named NEC Player of the Week for his performances against Niagara and Navy.

The Bengaluru, India native made his spring debut against Niagara, where he and Liao picked up their first doubles win of the spring season, beating NU 6-2.

The senior then won his singles match 6-3, 6-4 as the top player for Binghamton, helping the team sweep Niagara 7-0.

Lotlikar would then follow up the next day to face Navy, where he and Liao won their second doubles match of the season, 6-2. He then went on to win his singles match in a 7-5, 7-5 battle to score Binghamton's only point in singles action.

Liao was named NEC Rookie of the Week after making his spring debut against Niagara and Navy. As mentioned, Liao found success with his doubles partner, Lotlikar, winning his first two doubles matches in dual match action.

The Chengdu, China native also won his first singles match in dual action against Niagara, winning in a three-set battle 5-7, 6-0, and 7-5.

The pair were also tabbed as NEC Prime Performers of the Week.

Binghamton returns to action on the road against Fairfield and Army on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m.
