Binghamton men's tennis overpowers Saint Francis 6-1

Box Score EDENSBURG, Pa. – Binghamton men's tennis (6-8, 2-0) improved to 2-0 in Northeast Conference play after defeating Saint Francis (4-9, 1-1) 6-1 Sunday afternoon at the Edensburg Tennis Center.

The teams of Dylan Breen/Filipe Costa and Giannis Sakkas/James McPherson both won 6-4 in doubles play to secure the first point for Binghamton. McPherson made his 2025-26 debut after returning from a long injury.

Binghamton would go on to take care of business in singles action, with Ronin Lotlikar, Costa, and Sakkas winning in straight sets to secure the four points needed to clinch the victory on Sunday.

Andre Ajed fell in his first set 6-1 but came back with a strong outing to win 6-2 and 6-0 to claim Binghamton's fifth point of the day.

Breen scored the Bearcats' last point after a 7-6 (7-3) and 5-7 match went to a super tiebreaker, with Breen winning the tiebreaker 10-7 to claim the final point of the day.

The Bearcats return to play next Sunday at the Lane – Starke Tennis Center for a 12:45 p.m. start time.
