Ronin Lotlikar and
Giannis Sakkas of Binghamton men's tennis have been named to the Northeast Conference's weekly honors list.
Lotlikar earned his third NEC Player of the Week nod after a perfect 3-0 week that saw Binghamton go 2-0 in their dual matches this pst week.
Against Duquesne, Lotlikar won the top singles match 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. The Bengaluru, India native would win from the No. 1 spot again the next day against conference foe Saint Francis, defeating conference foe Kevin TItus Suresh 6-4, 6-2.
Lotlikar's wins improved his record in dual matches to 8-5, all of which have been in the No. 1 flight. The senior added a 6-2 doubles win alongside
Harry Liao, besting Duquesne's Yu-Shun Lai and Alfrendo Vogelaar.
Sakkas becomes the second Bearcat to win NEC Rookie of the Week honors this season after a 3-0 week. He defeated Duquesne's Teo Papadopoulos 6-4, 7-5 in the No. 6 match, helping Binghamton defeat the Dukes 6-1.
Sakkas added two more wins in a 6-1 victory over Saint Francis. The freshman knocked off Beau Welker 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 5 match and paired with
James McPherson in the No. 3 doubles slot to beat Noah Potts and Mario Beckles 6-4.
Binghamton returns to action this Sunday against NJIT.
