Men's tennis downed by NJIT 5-2

Box Score BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Binghamton men's tennis (6-9) fell to NJIT (9-2) 5-2 Sunday afternoon at the Lane – Starke Tennis Center.

Ronin Lotlikar and Harry Liao picked up their eighth victory as a pair this spring, defeating the Highlanders top pair 6-3. NJIT won doubles two and three to clinch the point.

Lotlikar would go on to win in straight sets but had to fight for the win after going to tiebreakers in both games, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-3).

Giannis Sakkas picked up the win in the six slot for the Bearcats, winning 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4.

Binghamton returns to action next weekend for a pair of NEC matches beginning on Saturday.
