Men's tennis rallies for 4-3 victory against FDU

Bearcats win match just before midnight

Box Score TEANECK, N.J. – A 6+ hour match on Saturday evening sees Binghamton men's tennis (7-9, 3-0 NEC) defeat FDU (4-10, 1-3) 4-3, just as the clock approached the midnight hour.

Filipe Costa and Dylan Costa claimed victory in doubles action, winning 7-5 but FDU would go on to clinch the doubles point after winning doubles one and three.

Ronin Lotlikar won cleanly as Binghamton's top singles player, 6-3, 6-0. Harry Liao picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the number three singles slot.

FDU scored points in singles games two and five, giving them three points on the day.

Andre Ajed won in a gutsy battle as Binghamton's number four player, winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) to tie the score at 3-3, leaving the sixth and final singles left to play.

Giannis Sakkas battled Nate Roberman in the last match of the night. Roberman took the first 4-6. Sakkas rallied back in the second set 6-3, leaving the match point to be decided in the last game of the day, where Sakkas would clutch up by winning the game 6-2 and claiming the match point for the Bearcats.

Binghamton returns to action tomorrow for another NEC bout with LIU.
