Junior catcher hit 1.000 with two home runs and five RBI

VESTAL, N.Y. – Junior catcher Elisa Allen has been named the America East Softball Player of the Week. It marks the first time this season - and fourth instance during her career - that she has earned the conference's weekly honor.

Elisa Allen went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate (1.000), homered twice, drove in five runs and drew four walks during the Bearcats' doubleheader sweep over Maine on Sunday. In addition to her perfect batting average and on-base percentage, she recorded a slugging percentage of 3.000.

For the season, Allen leads the conference with seven home runs and is third with 20 RBI.

Binghamton (7-16) continues its homestand tomorrow with a doubleheader against Colgate. The start time has been moved back to 4 p.m.

NOTE: Allen was previously honored by the America East as its Player of the Week on April 15, 2025, April 29, 2025 and May 5, 2025.
