VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer puts two streaks on the line when the Bearcats (3-0-1) travel to Western New York to face fellow SUNY Center Buffalo (2-2) on Sunday afternoon. The teams square off at 1 p.m. at Broadview Stadium.  

The Bearcats have posted four consecutive shutouts to open the 2026 season and are one of just six teams across the country to do so (Stanford, Auburn, Wake Forest, Long Beach State, California Baptist). Dating back to last season, Binghamton has allowed just three goals in its last nine games. Additionally, the Bearcats are riding a 17-game unbeaten streak in the regular season, dating back to August 2025 (11-0-6). 

On Thursday, Binghamton played visiting Siena to a 0-0 draw. The Bearcats couldn't cash in on 12 corner kicks (Bing ranks 18th in corners) and possession advantage throughout. Senior keeper Rebecca Kessler stopped a penalty shot in the 60th minute and notched her fourth shutout. She shares the NCAA lead with a 0.00 goals against average.  

Buffalo handled Niagara (2-0) and Mercyhurst (2-0) before dropping two games in Arizona last week. The Bulls were blanked by Grand Canyon (2-0) and Arizona State (5-0). The team returns six starters from a 12-5-2 squad that finished third in the Mid-American Conference. The Bulls were picked fourth of 12 in this year's MAC Preseason Poll. The team has four goals - by four different players. Buffalo is traditionally strong at home, where they are 7-1-1 in their last nine at Broadview. 

The Bulls lead the all-time series 7-1-1. In the most recent game, host Buffalo erased a 1-0 Bearcat halftime lead and tallied four second-half goals in a 4-1 win to open the 2022 season. The lone Binghamton win head-to-head was a 1-0 road win back in 2009.
