VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer plays its final tuneup before conference play when the Bearcats (4-1-2) host Cornell (2-3-2) Sunday afternoon. The geographic neighbors meet for the 17th time in Bing's Division I history at 1 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex. 

Binghamton is coming off a 2-1 loss at Big Ten member Maryland last Sunday - a defeat that snapped the program's six-game shutout string and also stopped its regular-season unbeaten streak at 19 games. The Bearcats will still look to extend their home regular-season unbeaten streak, which stands at 11 games, including a 3-0-1 mark this fall. After scoring nine combined goals in their first three games (all wins), Binghamton looks to reignite an offense that has been held to two goals over its last four outings. One of those tallies, however, was the difference maker in a 1-0 upset over ACC member Syracuse on Sept. 3. 

Cornell arrives in town after a 1-0 loss at Army Thursday night. Despite owning a 15-11 shots advantage at West Point, the Big Red surrendered a goal with 1:25 left and suffered the team's third straight shutout. Before that, Cornell played to back-to-back scoreless road draws at Colgate and Kent State. The team's wins this season have come against St. Bonaventure (3-2) and Lafayette (2-0). The program returned 12 letterwinners from a 5-7-4 team that tied for sixth in the Ivy League last season. 

The Big Red hold a slight 6-5-6 edge in the all-time series, which dates back to 2001. The teams have met in 15 of the last 16 fall seasons and the margin is always razor thin. Binghamton has a seven-game unbeaten streak on the line (3-0-4). The teams have played to three consecutive draws, including a scoreless tie last September in Ithaca. Before the Bearcats' current streak, a 6-1 head-to-head advantage between 2010-16 tipped the series numbers in Cornell's favor.
